Pagecord ("we") is committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with the UK GDPR.

1. Data Controller

2. Lawful Basis for Processing

  • Account Data (Email/Name): Processed under Contractual Necessity to provide the service.
  • Technical Data (IPs/Logs): Processed under Legitimate Interests to prevent fraud and abuse.
  • Marketing: Processed only with your Consent.
  • Content Safety: Processed under Legitimate Interests to detect spam, abuse, and other content that may break our Terms.

3. Sub-Processors & International Transfers

We use the following third parties to run Pagecord. Some may process data outside the UK/EEA (e.g., USA). Where this occurs, we ensure Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) are in place:

  • Paddle: Payments & Billing
  • Hetzner: Server Infrastructure (Germany)
  • Cloudflare / R2: Security, image storage (Western Europe - WEUR), and some transactional emails
  • Postmark / Mailpace: Transactional Emails
  • AppSignal / Sentry: Error Monitoring
  • OpenAI: Content moderation and spam prevention
  • CleanTalk: Spam checks for reply-by-email and contact form messages
  • DB-IP: Anonymous country-level geolocation (IP addresses are not shared with DB-IP)

We do not use your content to train AI models, sell it, or use it for advertising. Automated checks are used to help keep Pagecord safe and reduce spam.

4. Retention & Cookies

Retention: We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Upon deletion, data is removed from active databases within 30 days. Billing records are kept for 6 years as required by UK tax law.

Cookies: We use essential cookies to maintain your session and security. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

If you arrive via a campaign link, we may briefly keep campaign details in your first-party session so Plausible can count signup conversions. This is not stored on your account.

5. Children's Privacy

Pagecord does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected] for immediate deletion.

6. Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, or port your data. You may also object to or restrict processing. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. You may lodge a complaint with the ICO if you feel your data is mishandled.
