Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of Pagecord ("the Service"), operated by Pagecord Ltd (SC875271), 3rd Floor, 3 Hill Street, Edinburgh, EH2 3JP ("the Operator"). By using Pagecord, you agree to these terms.
1. Eligibility & Age
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If we discover an account held by anyone under 13, it will be terminated immediately.
2. Payments & Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record. They handle all billing, tax compliance, and refund requests. While Paddle handles the transaction, your right to access the Service is subject to these Terms.
3. Intellectual Property & Licence
Your Content: You own the content you publish on Pagecord.
To run Pagecord, you give us a limited permission to host, store, copy, display, publish, transmit, back up, and make technical changes to your content solely as needed to provide the Service. For example, this lets us show your blog to visitors, deliver posts to subscribers if you enable that feature, generate feeds and previews, resize images, keep backups, and let our hosting and infrastructure providers process the content for us.
This permission is worldwide, non-exclusive, and royalty-free because Pagecord is available on the internet and we do not pay you each time your own blog is viewed. It does not give us ownership of your content.
We will not sell your content, use it in advertising, licence it to others for their own use, or use it to train AI models.
This permission ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for temporary copies in backups, caches, logs, or where we need to keep something for legal, security, or account reasons.
Our Service: The Pagecord brand, code, and design are the property of the Operator and protected by UK copyright laws.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Pagecord for:
- Illegal content (UK Online Safety Act 2023 compliant)
- Harassment, bullying, or hate speech
- Malware, viruses, or phishing
- Copyright infringement
- Pornography, gore, or extreme violence
- Spam, backlinks, gambling, or crypto-scams
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations. You may cancel your account at any time via your dashboard. Report abuse to [email protected].
5. Indemnification
You are legally responsible for the content you publish and for how you use the Service. You agree to indemnify the Operator against claims, damages, or reasonable legal fees caused by your unlawful content, infringement of someone else's rights, or misuse of the Service.
6. Liability & Warranty
"As Is": We take care in running Pagecord to the best of our abilities, but the Service is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability or that data will never be lost. Force Majeure: We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our control (e.g., host outages, strikes, or acts of God).
Limitation: To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms excludes your statutory rights as a UK consumer.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Pagecord blog, and where a change materially affects your rights or paid access we will also email account holders. Continued use of the Service after 30 days constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts. If you live elsewhere, you may also have mandatory consumer rights in your own country or jurisdiction.
Severability: If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts remain in full effect.
